Mea Culpa. Over one year since the last post. Time travels fast, really. A lot of expierences in the pocket for us all while toilet earth is still burning. What's new aye! Last year I did post some fixxes but never advertised them here, check the left pane for the tribute the The Hiliter in Texas and Succumb. But the reason you are really here and not surfing prOn is the more than 5h live bomb @ The Rumpus Room. You gotta take the volume changes and mistakes (played live synth) on top of it, that is what live does to you. Or do you think I was not having a stiff drink during my set?! Five full fcking hours recorded...GO! - Bramski x

Two fixes in one month! Rejoice! Rejoice! 16h Shenanigans I fixed up in December right after an epic long night out. It might be all over the place a bit.....errrrr just like a 16h shenanigans night! Dont forget to check out last week's fix. - Bramski x

Few months later. One might call me a slacker, I would call myself a ssilencerr! Anyway, shake off the snow and nod your head to this - one of my better midtempo fixxes to date. Am dying to test this one at an afterparty really....Adam, bring on the uberamp! Next fixx will be an ode to the afterparty phenomena. a 16h phenomena all built in a 80 minute crasher. Online next week Friday. Oh and as of now all is in 320kb quality so sue me. - Bramski x

Five months have passed yet never managed to kickstart my ftp and upload a new fixx. The disgrace! The shame! Whatever! Here is a little treat for them hungry ears! Bring on the dark winter nights!- Bramski x

Waiting for the night... waiting for the night! Nachtwacht! A 2h40 minute (!) tripster into the land of weeping sequencers! Nachtwacht, my longest fixx ever, should work great on the upcoming pre and after partéés if one can appreciate techno, minimal and anything in between. Let the festival season commence! - Bramski x

"A supernova (plural: supernovae) is a stellar explosion. Supernovae are extremely luminous and cause a burst of radiation that often briefly outshines an entire galaxy, before fading from view over several weeks or months. During this short interval, a supernova can radiate as much energy as the Sun could emit over its life span. The explosion expels much or all of a star's material at a velocity of up to a tenth the speed of light, driving a shock wave into the surrounding interstellar medium." Courtesy of WikiP. All there is left for me to say...so, how was your Sunday!? - Bramski x

Fashionably late I wish you a great 2009. Bla-da-bléé-bla-da-blah! Lets cut the crap and skip to things that matter. Lode Runner! An ode to the haydays of Apple II and ZX Spectrum games...what days they were indeed. The undertone of this fixx is fully related to Lode Runner. Just find an emulator of this game on the net and you will see what I mean. The fixx is pretty much a pounding nightbeast, not for the faint of heart! Ladies and gents.... head first!!! - Bramski x

Ears Wide Open! Look outside and behold nature changing into its gloomy coat. Made something fitting for this great, particular atmosphere. A fixx to relax too without it being a Yoga chant. Call this whatever you want....just get warm and cosy and enjoy these depths of Ulver (That Day of the Eleven Winters). Hear you soon.

Seasons change. Although it is hard to believe there was a Summer here in Amsterdam, time is rolling slowly but surely forward into Fall. I can't believe time is such a giant rocket. Actually I am pretty pleased about my progress as a Sound Fixxer, and I am making baby steps back into producing...last time I did this I was 15 and messing about in the legendary Fasttracker haha! I think I remixed the U96 - Das Boot track (who remembers that!) so many times until only a kick drum was left hehe. Anyway, I have been playing out quite a lot and as well as creating some fixxes, even if nothing got updated here, I have a lot of material and ideas both in my head and on my errr hard drive. Behold Imperator! A wide spacey techno fixxation with some sensible tweaking (at one point 3 tracks and a loop are fixxed up at the same time hehe). Enjoy! Within a week I will post another fixx, something really fitting for the upcoming Autumn feeling.

Allright then, time for a break. Appelmoes! is your intermezzo fixx for this Summer. An eclectic mix of your finest punky electronics. Lots of breaks, loops, scratchbacks and overlays - no music to close your eyes to but a rather fitting pre-party boomster, audial terror at maximum volume. Apart from this being a good exercise and display of my fixxing skills, it is also a little ode to the already legendary Club11 here in Amsterdam. At the end of this month
this club will be torn down so let us all remember the great partees we had there.... A-fucking-MEN!!! Have a break, have some Appelmoes! - Bramski x
05212008 »
Aye! This fixx isn't really the most accessible
I made so far but i never said it was going to be easy! It mainly consists of spacious and wide techno/minimal, not your average morning-drive musac. Well that is to say....Nightflight is an ode to the afterparty phenomenon and will work best in that situation. I expierence it myself as a genuine flight, a low cost carrier to a f-cking great dimension!! Close you eyes and board for the nightflight! Cameras ready, prepare to flash! - Bramski x

How much dew would a dew drop drop, if a dew drop did drop dew? ...Or as (I believe) Alphonse de Lamartine, the French writer, once said: "music is the literature of the heart....it starts where speech ends". True that, Fonzie! PS- you all go out and buy the fantastic new Junkie XL album! Yours, Bramski x

Eat this!!!!!80 mins slash 15 tracks slash lotsa loops slash awhollotta techno ...just a sweatshop! - Bramski x

Four long months of neglecting this site - ouch! Last months have been again such an amazing rollercoaster which I just didn't want to stop, so that sounds like a pretty d*mn good excuse to me! I did quite some mixing though, and the most recent output,
"Let Go", is ready for you to grab. You are going to love this if you are into a deep sound, quite fitting during these dark wintermonths I might think. Forgive me the weird ending by the way... just felt like flagging up a little edit I made of a track with lotsa guitars;-)
Apart from that I'm not in a very talkative mood so just download the fOkker. Oh by the way, do yourself a favour and buy the new Dave Gahan [Depeche Mode] cd and Sigur Ros DVD! Love, Bramski x

When I was a kid, in Summer all
cartoons magazines brought out these so called Summer
Omnibus versions of their zines. A fat b*tch of a
book to cherish during Summerholidays! Really loved
that. I guess you could apply that to the latest
fixx - The Wee Hours (just a prospect
of simplicity) - as
this baby is close to two hours of some fine dance
music, ofcourse! Personally, it have been some
hectic yet extremely enjoyable months so I guess this
kinda reflects the choice of tracks... more techno
please! more!!! With a special nomination for
Miss Kittenzz slash The Hackerzz latest track, as she
played this one as her last song on her fantastic
closing set on Sonar in Barcelona. Imagine this in the
Spanish morning light! What a feeling, f*cking A
allright! I had grand fun patching it all up so hope
your earbuds enjoy equally. Now at least leave me
a message in my GuestbooK
by writing some kind of whit comment or
insult, you lazy f*cks! Love, --Brrrramski.

Oh my oh my... if this page
would have been a garden, it would have been full of
weed! If it would have been a woman it would have packed
her suitcases ages ago! Thats how unattended I left it
for a few months - I have some very valid reasons
(partéés being one of them, but there (ir)is a much nicer reason though),
but I will gently cut the crap. There where no updates but
nonetheless I have been fixxing like a little monkey on speed. The result is
threefold. "Your..." is mainly built up around techno whereas "One..."
is a tad broader. Both fixxes are technically the best I
have fixxed to date, with lots
of cuts, effects and multiple overlay tracks.
"Fast Lane" is just a bonus
as I just needed some melodic and
fast trance in my ears at that time.
Too bad for the purisits who think trance
is not done, hu!. I agree your average
trance audience is far from ace but that doesn't mean a
nice deep melody isn't a nice deep melody. It is
what it is and as much as I like complicated offbeat techno
or minimal bleeps, there is nothing bad with quality trance
(apart from cheesy eurotrash trance obviously). Techno pioneer and hero James Holden
still plays trance in his sets and is a fan of Judas
Priest! Right on! So errrrr...basically it all comes
down to Heavy Metal, hell yeah!

April allright. Fixxwise I must say I
have never been as content about the result as this
month's effort. I invested in some new software
(MM Fusion) and it paid off bigtime. I can
juggle around more with loops, effects and other buttons
'n switches. "Hotel Riga" starts out quite deep
and minimal to evolve over some techno into prog - the
tempo doesn't go above 135 bpm so quite a smooth mix
with more time to let the songs unwrap themselves if
that makes any sense. Titelwise, "Hotel Riga"
refers to something of the past, and while the future is
ahead, the past remains within our flesh and bones
and undeniably makes us who we are... Enjoy your stay in
Hotel Riga!

Can you believe it's already
March! Jap, once again time is travelling fast... Consequently time for a new fix:
"No/Can/Do". Close to 20 songs waived up - a
bit of this and a bit of that, if that
makes it any more clear. Titlewise, I don't
know what inspired me but on a hangovered Sunday
I literally jumped up in my bed and thought...no can
do! It is my blurry Sunday morning (or should I say
post-Saturdaynight ) subsconcious which gets full credit
for this. In relation to that please pay some damn
good attention to the first song which comes close to
the perfect Sunday tune. You know the feeling: rainy
outside and you just want to hang around
and well..hang around and be cosy!
I think Sven Väth calls it Cocooning haha. Please
also leave a note in my g u e s t b o o
k with your thoughts on this month's fixx...

Standstill movement?! A full on
Contradiction in Terminus, aye captain!!Don't you just
love it when you feel your brain making connections or
interpretations that often leaves others
flabbergasted...or just leaves others thinking you
are a f-cking nutcase probably. Anyway, about this
month's title: you just make your own interpretation of
it, ok! Musicwise this month the fixx
digressed from the earlier ones. Quite techno and
electro focussed this time yet equally fixxed up
with progressive sounds to keep the
atmosphere. Aaaah, damn these limitizing labels
and tags, let's just call it electronic (dance) music
allright! I even patched what is called officially
a trance song at the end but it fits the stream of sound
perfectly in my little personal view. There you
go, another combination which is, by the almighty book
of dance, totally NOT DONE. To hell with rules and
trends set by the masses, just enjoy the music.
Love, Bramski.

Last weekend we had a good old in-house party here in
Amsterdam and it happened I had prepared a little
fixx for this night . Since I'm a good boy it's now also
online for you to enjoy if you wish. The fixx
called "Amsterdam:11pm!" is a structureless mélange
of electro house, prog and some
techno - the big danceable tunes from
last year basically. Just my little ode to that
unbeatable Saturdaynight feeling!

Allright! December had a lot of great songs in store so
I decided to make a double fixx this month. The first
part called "I, contact" is now leechable on the
left here. It reflects the progressive side of
my mixing, so no trancing this time, am saving
that for the second part. The fixx closes
with a minimal tune by Jennifer Cardini, just
my way to pay hommage to her fantastic set on NYE in
the Apollo in Barcelona. Merci Jenni! On a different
note, I had a question from someone why I
put all this effort in doing what I do here.
Well first of all because I like to do it
for myself. Another important factor is memory. Music
to me is memory. Like the trend nowadays
is that people keep a Blog of their lives, I am
logging my life by music. How magic it
will be when we will be 60 and mindtravelling
back to January 2007 by listening to my mix. Memories
are a tricky thing (I can advise
you the book "Ignorance" by Milan Kundera on this
topic!) but I know that for me peronsally music stores
and logs the memory as it is....
PS, please sign my guestbook with your thoughts on
"I, contact". For now...rock on!

Tadah! To close the year in
style, here's my December Fixx: Jetblack Blue. Starts a
bit out of the ordinary (always good!) with a Thin White
Duke remix of my heroes Depeche Mode
and didn't chop up the song too much to keep its original
glory. I think all in all this is one of
my better fixxes! Enjoy the
audial luxury but please leave a message
in my guestbook
with your
reactions. Now excuse me, I got a party to attend. PS
Happy xmass
balls thing!

On the left you can download my November Fixx ("A
Thousand Nights") . Again some great mindtravelling
tunes in there. Drop the mp3 on your iPod
and please let me know what you think of
it by signing my guestbook . Thanks!

Yessir, bramski.com is opened.
Twelve years after my first Internet page and fifteen
years after my BBS-past, I strike back and i hope it
hits hard. Main reason is to have an
outlet for my monthly soundfixxes which i was constructing for
myself and my friends. Hope you like it, but who cares
if you don't. You can always contact me at you@bramski.com or
by signing my guestbook.

Why is there a naked
woman on the top of your page? Well it
was either that or me. You choose.
Are there any more
pictures of you? If you are a good friend of mine, you know my Facebook name.
Are you a DJ
? Occasionally I play live on special occasions and special settings, I dont have the intention to become the 6500th would-be dj.
Then what is it you are
doing? When I was in
my early teens I made tapes for my friends with songs I
really liked and I wanted everybody to hear these songs. Now I
simply do the same but mix and patch (i call it fix) them into
one audioflow, yet now mainly also for my own
listeningpleasure.
What is music for
you? Fuel for life, always has been and always
will be. Been into music at very young age, first tape
was two breakdance tapes early 80's!
Only Electronic Dance
Music? Hell no! In my world there are two sorts of music: the ones I
like, the ones I don't like. And that's a subjective personal matter.
Now my main passion is dance (as it
was also my first!) but over the years I have been all
over the soundspectrum: from heavy metal to rock over apocalyptic
soundscapes to any experimental music. I had it
all and i had it good. PS, in the past
I have been writing for 6 years for the biggest monthly Belgian heavy
rock magazine. PS2, in total I have toured about 7
weeks with a rockband all over Europe during a special
concept. Limitating myself just ain't my thing!
Why are you called
Bramski? Why not.
Favorite
artists? I don't
like to idiolize and there are so many great
artists that schizzle my nizzle...but if you want to
have an idea anyway: Depeche Mode, Mötley Cruë, Katatonia,
Dead Can Dance,
The Cult, Matthew Dekay, New Order, Motörhead, Madrugada,
Craig Armstrong
and on and on.
What else do you
do?
Party. Work. Party. Work. Party. Not necessarely in that order.
Life is short so
we need to hit it
hard. U
gotta enjoy the ride!
Any cheesy
moto? Live like a Devil, die like an
Angel.
Amen.
